Sharon Watson-Mitchell
Qualified Creative Mindfulness Practitioner (IMMA)
about sharon...

Sharon Watson-Mitchell has 17 years’ experience teaching children, teens and adults performing arts. She is a doting mum to her son and loves spending time outdoors with her family and dog.
Sharon runs Verve Academy of Performing Arts with her husband, Tim Watson-Mitchell, and it is through teaching that she became interested in focusing her attention on building young people’s confidence and self-esteem.
After noticing an increase of anxiety amongst children and teens and the pressures they feel of the fast-paced world we live in, Sharon wanted to support young people’s mental health and so began training as an Accredited Creative Mindfulness Practitioner (IMMA).
Sharon is passionate about teaching mindfulness and self-compassion practices to children (and their families) across Derbyshire and South Yorkshire and believes all children should be taught these LIFE tools to enable them to care for their mental wellbeing, just as we are taught in schools to look after our physical health.
Having practiced mindfulness for some while now, Sharon is excited to share these practices with children whilst also continuing her training to soon offer Mindful Parenting classes.
